"I've come for my monthly appointment. Refill my prescription." She said, minding the air bubble that formed under the water. Yoris always insisted on conducting the business of peddling questionable elixirs underwater.
"Oooh, come to visit me again, Elmira?"
Yoris floated gracefully near the surface. It was a wonder how the sea witch could still swim swiftly while wearing half her body weight in hair accessories and butterfly gowns.
"You know, my assistance always comes with a price. Ooooh what will you sacrifice next? I love using the word 'sacrifice'." Yoris bubbled through her nostrils, putting both hands into her abundant blue hair dreamily.
"Quit it. Do you always do this when selling hair clips?" Elmira grumbled, dog-paddling the water to either side to keep up.
"Pfft, and you always tell me to quit it." Yoris scoffed, acrobatically flipping her body upside-down in a graceful slow-motion flipper arch, grabbing Elmira by the ears.
"You know the price for these, don't you?" Yoris whispered.
"Like I said the last time, I don't miss it." the tailess Scapan replied, unconvinced by the sea witch's attempts to manipulate her emotions.
"Eheh 'him'? You've come for uterine bacteria again!" Yoris shouted to the entrance of the underwater garden. The sound echoed loudly against the cave walls.
"See, you're predictable too," she giggled.
Yoris turned back to her visitor.
"Here's the hair you asked for..." the Scapan scrouched embarrassed.
Loi, it's Yoris the sea witch. Like the sea witch from the original Little Mermaid story, or maybe Yuuko from XXX/Holic. She's supposed to have the hindquarters of a Baiji...
Loi, doesn't Mason from Dead Like Me have that too?
Usually Elmira gives her intestinal parasites as payment. Because she eats salad unprotected by cooking and has the eggs hatch in her bowels. The parasites try to guilt trip her by saying "mommy" through the connections to her nervous system, but Scapan philosophy prevents that by stating a mantra about how the parasites don't do anything in return for their nutrient mooching other than appease whatever traces of a maternal instinct their host has. Plus, they try to use parts of her genetic material. That's the part that makes her unhappy. She dun't want no clones or resurrections because that trips the suedar.
Yes, life expectancy for her kind isn't all that great. Plus, she kind of looks like she's 50 when she's 25 or so in human terms XP
They might have advanced medical capabilities on Odana, though. Biotechnology is their specialty.

Gods, does that sea witch have to yell uterine bacteria so loud?? She has pretty hair and torso clothes...
But that's okay, I like her.

Sounds icky. Isn't that bad for her? Like, wouldn't the constant parasite-ing have a long term effect on her system?
