The bacterial beds breathed in the steam of the shower room. During the brief interlude between training sessions the crechelings of the domain Val retreated to the pungeant pools of microbes.

The warrior in charge of the nursery, respectfully one of the less savory of the five types of creche nurse, had grabbed a sizeable portion of Talamufi's shoulder length hair.
She dared not protest; it would offend. Talamufi clenched her teeth as Elmira yanked it off into a top knot. In the other badly chewed upon hand hung a child's hair ornament. It dangled delicately between the warrior's two front fingers.

Talamufi recognized it as a miniaturized version of her namesake, the Aadirmuf. The tiny animal opened a mouth full of miniscule teeth and whistled softly.

Although the Aadirmuf's larger counterpart, the Adorphong was domain Val's herald emblem, Talamufi was fairly embarrassed the Miss Val had chosen such a frivolous decoration. The aadirmuf's squealing became gradually more embarassing as it was firmly fastened to the ribbon of red algae entangled in her hair.

"When you outgrow it, your hair will have fallen out. Such is the blessing of the Adorphong." Elmira sneered.
Talamufi was quite certain her suspicions were correct.


told me Elmira looks like an sickass pedo in this picture, oi! Actually, Talamufi is Elmira's aunt. Yes, her old fart of a grandfather had another kid with some warrior initiate who had their sixteenth birthday. Sick.
That's what incubation tanks are for, and before I forget, she's wearing a wetsuit just like all the other members of her domain. I based the wetsuit off the body markings of certain ceteceans, like orcas or Dall's porpoises.
